An exciting cross country race through fields and wooded trails benefiting the Wayland Cross Country teams. With a youth race and an open race, this event provides one of the few cross-country running opportunities for kids and adults in Massachusetts.

This is not only a great race to run; it's also a great race to watch! Spectators can see the competitors during many parts of the races.
We have a solid group of sponsors this year, enabling us to present even more awards than last year, have a great raffle and offer lots of refreshments. Our presenting sponsor is Baldwin Insurance Agency. Awards include free shoes from Inov-8 and Vibram FiveFingers, gift certificates from Marathon Sports, trophies, plaques and medals. A generous donation from Wayland Kitchens will make for the best raffle we have ever had. And, continuing the Wayland XC Festival tradition, the raffle is free to all runners.
We have lots of age classes with over 120 awards! And the races include team competitions.
New this year, high school team competition.
The 5K open race has been selected to be part of the USATF-NE Cross-Country Grand Prix Series and the Eastern New England Trail Race Series.
Post-race amenities include food from Whole Foods Market and a free raffle sponsored by Wayland Kitchens for all participants.
